Research Services provides qualified support to researchers, faculties and university management regarding external research funding, research infrastructures, and research data information. Since we provide administrative support to researchers and management at different levels in the organization, we have access to databases of Lund University’s activity and success in applying for external research funding. These databases enable us to compile the statistics presented in this report.
Given the local and national goals regarding external funding, this report aims to provide both deeper analysis of the activity and success of LU’s researchers in the external research funding landscape.
This report focuses on those funders where Research Services has a mandate to provide support. We are also responsible for LU’s organisational account in Prisma, so those funders who use Prisma to administer their applications and awards are included in the report. The funders for which we have high-quality data are Horizon Europe, VR, Forte, Formas and the calls from the Wallenberg foundations that we manage.
