Does your research involve genetic resources and/or traditional knowledge associated with such resources? If so, you may have an obligation to follow the Nagoya Protocol.
Those who use genetic resources or traditional knowledge from another country than Sweden in their research or product development have an obligation to ascertain whether the Nagoya Protocol applies. The responsible researcher must thoroughly examine whether the Nagoya Protocol applies, obtain relevant documentation, and document, preserve and report.
Welcome to an information meeting on how to follow the Nagoya Protocol at Lund University. Professor Niklas Wahlberg, Department of Biology, Sanna Weber, Legal Division and Tina Trollås, Research Services will present the Lund University guidelines. Senior lecturer Anna Runemark, Department of Biology, will talk about her experiences in complying with the Nagoya Protocol. There will be plenty of time for questions.
The meeting will be held in English and online via LU Zoom.
