The European Research Council (ERC) provides long-term, generous funding for ambitious research projects based in the EU and Associated Countries. It offers grants designed to support excellence in research and attract and retain the best and most promising investigators to Europe. It offers support to researchers in all fields at all career stages, with no prioritized areas and all assessment conducted through international peer review.
