MSCA-IF online training course

During the spring and summer, Research Services will offer an online training course in preparation for MSCA Individual Fellowship proposals for the 2018 call with deadline 12 September.

The MSCA-IF fellowships 12-24 months offer opportunities to:
1. Recruit experienced researchers from abroad, or
2. Extend a post-doc period for a fellow already at LU

Note that a mobility rule applies for the fellowships, i.e. at   the deadline for the submission of applications, the fellow can have resided or carried out her main activity in the country of the host organisation for no more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline.

The course is aimed at the scientist in charge (supervisor) at Lund University, as well as at the prospective fellow. It will enable both applicants to access a comprehensive set of training tools, including introductory slides with audio, walk-through modules, factsheets and checklists, all available up to the deadline. Staff from Research Services will also be available for support throughout the process.

Start date: end of April 2018. With the online setup, the course start and participation is flexible and the material will be available online until the deadline in September. Limited number of places available. Supervisors who have a named prospective, eligible fellow at the registration deadline will be prioritised. Participation will be confirmed after the deadline.

Objective of the training course: to provide participants with a good understanding of the principles and evaluation criteria and process of the MSCA-IF. Participants will receive strategic and practical input for writing a competitive application. The application is written jointly by the supervisor and the fellow.

Training: The workshop is run by Yellow Research, a consultancy firm with extensive experience in running MSCA workshops and in pre-submission review of MSCA grants.

Registration: The supervisor registers for the training course here no later than 28March. For questions, please contact teresia.rindefjall@fs.lu.se.
