To be eligible for the Consolidator Grant call 2018, the applicant must have been awarded their PhD between 7 and 12 years prior to 1 January 2018. This is extendable in certain cases.

If you have already attended an ERC workshop previously, you may still go ahead and register for an individual consultation for ERC Consolidators or for the Starting Grants extra activities described below.

Invitation to ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants workshop
Research Services invites you to a joint ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants workshop this spring. The workshop is open for researchers who are planning to apply for an ERC grant with Lund University as host institution.
The workshop is run by Yellow Research, a consultancy firm with extensive experience in running ERC workshops and in pre-submission review of ERC Grants. It will provide participants with an in-depth overview and practical information on the ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants scheme. Participants should gain a deeper understanding of the proposal format and the key issues relating to planning, writing and costing a proposal. Attendance is free of charge. Lunch is included.

Date: Monday 12 June 2017, between 9.00 and 16.00.

Place: Lundmarksalen, Department of Astronomy, Sölvegatan 27, Lund.

The workshop will be held in English.

Individual consultations for ERC Consolidators
Opportunities for individual consultations with the Yellow Research consultant will be offered on 13 June to researchers who have participated in the ERC workshop and are planning to apply for an ERC Consolidator Grant in the 2018 call with Lund University as their host institution.

Extra training events for ERC Starters

Apart from the ERC workshop 12 June, Research Services will arrange two connected events with the aim to give ERC StG applicants an extra boost in the ERC StG 2018 call:

14 June we arrange an extra session with the Yellow Research consultant where you will get information about key ERC matters such as concept, novelty, and panel choice, as well as get feedback on your CV/Track Record.

22-23 August we arrange a two day training camp where you will get information from ERC evaluators and ERC grantees valuable for your proposal, as well as get feedback on your draft proposal. See further information about the extra events for ERC Starters at this link
