Programme:
13:00-14:00      An ERC officer’s perspective on how to get an ERC grant
Frank Kuhn is a panel coordinator in Social Sciences and Humanities at the European Research Council Executive Agency in Brussels. He has a long experience from coordinating and monitoring several different SH panels in all of the ERC categories (Starting, Consolidator and Advanced). Based on his experience from ERC panel discussions and ERC grantee presentations, Frank will tell us what we need to know about the ERC and how to better succeed with an ERC proposal.

14:00-14:20      Coffee

14:20-16:00      The ERC panel member and ERC grantee perspective on how to get an ERC grant
This part of the seminar is built around researchers within the ERC programme – Niclas Burenhult (ERC Starting Grantee, 2011-2016, panel SH4) and Anders Johansen (ERC Starting Grantee, from 2012-2016 and Consolidator Grantee, from 2017, panel PE9) – together with Wlodek Rabinowicz (panel member ERC Consolidator Grants, SH5) will share their experiences and give advice on how to get an ERC grant.

* In the ERC programme, the domain Social Sciences and Humanities cover six panels:
SH1 – Individuals, Markets and Organisations, SH2 – Institutions, Values, Environment and Space, SH3 – The Social World, Diversity, Population, SH4 – The Human Mind and Its Complexity, SH5 – Cultures and Cultural Production, SH6 – The Study of the Human Past

For further information concerning the ERC programme, Research Services arrange cross faculty workshops on writing an ERC proposal (for Advanced Grants applicants 6 April, and for Starting and Consolidator Grants applicants 12 June.)
